Steem is seriously undervalued for its capability
It is fast, free, scalable, fun and rewarding. You have access to some of the best minds and some of the best people and you have a chance to reward them for their work as well as to be rewarded for yours. That is not why I am writing today, I am just getting you hyped on a bunch of other good reasons to love steem. Today, I want to focus on how much it can do vs its market cap.
The good people at blocktivity.info provide a wonderful service where they show you what is happening on the most popular blockchains. As you can see, steem is the second most used (with regard to number of transactions) blockchain behind EOS. What else you can see is the number of transactions vs its marketcap. This is where steem really outperforms its younger sibling (EOS).
Steem, as a currency, is nearly 20 times less valuable (in terms of market capitalization) than EOS, yet it is doing 1/5 the amount of transactions. You can see the "AVI" column which basically scores each blockchain on its value, based on market cap vs. transactions (where BTC is the control or "1").
This is showing that Steem is 2876 to Bitcoin's 1. That means Steem is doing 2876 times more than Bitcoin when we consider the transaction to market cap ratio.
That is BIG. What is more valuable than a currency that isn't used? That is not a trick question. A currency that is not being used is not as valuable as a currency that IS being used. Steem is showing us that it is being used, and, based on the info provided by blocktivity.info, it looks severely undervalued too.
