Frankie “The Answer” Edger
This fighter has been my favorite fighter every since I was a little kid. There was a point in my life where I would just watch his fights only. He has had so many outstanding performances. He is not a scared fighter he will brawl with his opponents till the bitter end.
Recently he went through the toughest stage in his life. Frankie Edger has never been finished before until now. He was fighting a up and rising star named Brian Ortega. I really thought he had this fight, then everything turned for the worst. Brian Ortega shocked the UFC world that night. He caught Frankie with a step in elbow, then a uppercut from hell. This lifted Frankie off his feet. Then the fight was all over.
Frankie Edger has been nailed like this before, but he always recovered. Not this night he got hit way to clean, and Brian Ortega hit him with such precision. Well you know this left a sour taste in edgers mouth. So a month later he takes a fight with Cub Swanson to redeem himself. This would be the second time these two have fought. Frankie dominated the first fight so everyone expected for him to do the same again. Well just a week before the fight tragedy strikes Frankie again. He loses his father and his grandfather in that same week. He still continues with the fight , but I know these losses are eating away at him.
Frankie goes the distance with Swanson this time, and he ends up winning for the second time. This is a huge moral booster for him. This leads him one fight closer to the title shot. He might be getting old, but I feel he has one more title shot in him!
Edgar is one fighter I like to watch as well. His battles with Maynard were nothing but amazing.
I would like to see him drop down and contend at 135 lbs before father times catche up with him. Which it has already started doing.
Actually they already said he's getting the next title shot; The winner of max holloway vs Brian Ortega.
The only reason why I said that is because this year there’s been a lot of pull outs. Anything can happen haha!
Edger is a beast! The fact that he came back and fought Cub just 6 weeks after his tough loss Ortega speaks to his competitiveness.
