Steem Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 18 & 19 Overview

in #steem6 years ago

We are halfway through the season and Liverpool are running away with the title, or are they? It has been a disastrous week for reigning Champions Manchester City with two defeats, to Crystal Palace (3-2) and Leicester (2-1). City are now on third place, seven points behind leaders Liverpool and one point behind Tottenham in second place. Worryingly for City is the fact they have now lost 3 out of their last four matches In Premier league. Liverpool and Tottenham have got totally different form. Tottenham have scored 11 goals in their last two games, winning 6-2 to Everton and 5-0 against Bournemouth. Hueng Min-Son has been the standout player for Spurs with 34 FPL points in these games. Liverpool keep on delivering clean-sheets. A 2-0 win away to Wolverhampton was followed up by a 4-0 win at home to Newcastle. Salah, their talisman, managed to score 24 points in these two matches. Ole gunnar Sjolskaer has got a brilliant start to his spell as manager for Manchester United. After winning 5-1 against Cardiff in his debut United took another convincing win (3-1) against Huddersfield in gameweek 19. Suddenly Man United assets seems like must-haves, taking into consideration they’ve got several “easy” fixtures coming up. Pogba has been brilliant with scores of 13 and 15 points respectively while also Lingard with 23 points in the last two seems to has picked up good form Christams form.

In Steem Fantasy League team “awd2” are top of the table after scoring 66 and 77 points respectively in gameweek 18 and 19. With four players scoring double figure scores Digne (17p), Alexander-Arnold (11p), Hazard (15p) and Son (13p) this result was possible.

Need to pick my captains better if i want to climb further up the league, cant really complain i was sitting back in the 160's at one stage.

I wish I had more time to do research, was 150th at one time now slowly climbing back into the 100s.

That old saying "slow and steady wins the race" comes to mind. Lets hope its true. Then both of us still have a shot. Lol

Liverpool Arsenal was painful to watch lol...and I'm a United fan.
Next week will decide the title winner IF liverpool wins vs City.
