The way those changes has been introduced has been very "brutal". Without any visible notification and explanation what is about to happen. I found it very disrespectful towards Steemit users.

Yeah I agreed with you on this.
All information should be timely and measurable not that you tell us after executing your plan.
Everyone of us has a stake in this platform we should not be treated as users alone but as a stakeholder.
The deed has been done now so i want to implore all steemians to resteem this post so that nearly all steemians will be able to know about this update.
