Come join us at Bit Space for an informal Steemit meet up!
Steemit is a blockchain-based social media platform that rewards users for content. Unlike Face book and Reddit, Steemit is based on a decentralized and completely open platform, with no company or person in control.
Join us to discuss and learn more about the potential and usecases for Steemit and other social media blockchains. How to participate as a user and how to build things on top of the platform as a developer or entrepreneur.
We will serve a variety of snacks and refreshments, and we will use our 3D printer to print and give away Steem paraphernalia.
Everyone is welcome and the event is free to attend.
A user reported that during the signup process, they are not receiving a SMS message to their phone. They tried Re-send multiple times and it didn't work. The issue persisted over multiple days.
Pretty simple bug: if an image filename contains an apostrophe, it breaks the post thumbnail. The image works in the post just fine though.
Screenshots from a test I did can be found here:
I made a browser extension for Google Chrome that provides this feature to the users but it would be even better if we could have this feature natively integrated into the platform.
It can be found here: https://steemit.com/steemit/@fleuri/steemit-notifications-browser-extension-download-now
Steem is dominated by politics beyond my ability to control or fix. The code is in good hands, the team is more than capable of implementing any thing the community desires. Let's hope the community chooses wisely.,” he adds.
Ned Scott, CEO and Co-founder of Steemit, has not released a statement at press time, however, Mr. Scott said in one of his replies that an official statement will be released “as soon as possible.”
The resignation of Steemit’s lead developer comes at a time when the value of Steem tokens is trading near all-time lows.
