Win Your Morning, Win Your Day!

Ever feel you wake up at the wrong side of the bed and you are not up to it to start your engine for the day? But it is only towards the mid-week and you have few more days to go before weekend. So how do you fuel yourself up?

First thing first.
DRINK UP! Some say this ought to be the first thing to do, even before you brush your teeth (but it is up to your discretion on this). Hydration to your body after hours of non-water-intake is essential for a start up. It works like the key to start off the engine. If you haven't had this routine, wait no more, start immediately tomorrow. Drink at least 500ml when you wake up, you will start to see the difference it does to your body. Maybe not straight away if you never have this habit before. But you will see the charm soon. Try it out and let us know the result. Besides lighting up your brain, it hydrates your skin too.
FOCUS ON! Before you start to think about your long list of To-dos, it is always best to don't hurry into that frame of thoughts when your system is starting up. A few minutes to calm down your inner world often sets a catapult of success. You can choose your form of thoughts to medidate upon. It can be quotes, or songs to motivate you, or it can be total silence. After meditation, only then you move on to a couple of minutes pondering on your goals-of-the-day. Just a reasonable amount of goals else you will be overwhelmed at the end of the day. Keep your thoughts fixed of these few goals to avoid procrastination later, and set off your day to accomplish them.
WARM UP! What other ways to wake up your entire system but to move a little? We are not talking about heading to the gym for intense workout. Just a little movement here and some simple exercises there will cause your brain to move around too, resulting in a more energetic being. Additionally, a few stretches can be done to add flexibility and agility to your entire system.
CHOW DOWN! Last but not least, do not, yes, let's reiterate - do not - forget to eat your breakfast. You are what you eat. Eating a healthy proper breakfast is the springboard to an active and dynamic you. Always choose a healthy nutritious breakfast over sugar-loaded breakfast. For example, choose oatmeal over fortified cereal (which contains high-fructose corn syrup), choose eggs over bagel or muffin, choose Greek yogurt over fat-free flavoured yogurt, choose real fruits over sweetened fruit juice, choose cottage cheese over processed cheese. You can spice it up a little with healthy nuts or seeds. Combo it with coffee or green tea for a bonus boost.
Always start great to stand a higher chance to end great too! That way, you can steem on with vigour!
