RE: Adapting to Market Signals - Steem Sports

in #steem-sports8 years ago

If I was to compare it to the growth of Facebook, there were many who came onto Facebook to play games and many that couldn't stand the games. Game requests would be randomly sent out and eventually methods were brought in to segregate the two communities of interest.

I think there is merit in letting the 'gamers' have their own space. Personally, I'm annoyed by the noise on the feed from all the games. I have zero interest in playing them, but would never seek to deny others what they enjoy.

Encourage but keep separate.

This is absolutely true but it isn't just games. Many have been put off by a lot of the ancap content. Others have been put off by technical analysis charts or whaever. The fact is whatever you post there will always be some people who don't like it. There should be better ways to organize and filter content that interests you from content that doesn't.

Agreed. There should be top level categorization based on content type...then second level navigation trending / hot / new / etc.
