Happy Birthday, @dwells! You get to be older than me for two whole months.

We were thinking about heading downhill too. High ground is really only advantageous if we were in battle and had a gun...but not so much if we're looking for water and food and have knives. It is possible that by going to the high ground we're going to notice a danger or advantage we wouldn't notice otherwise, but all survival advice is always to head downhill and follow the water.
