The only logical option seems to be to gather whatever supplies they can and attempt to sneak out of the city before someone tries to kill or eat them...

I'll get Option 1 too. I can get much more supplies through surprise threats, short-ranged ambush, and hostage-taking. The others are too heavy for me to be able to go far enough. Also, I'm all alone 'cos I don't have any team yet. I don't want to face them just yet.
