my reasoning here :)

logical : It's always worthy to take a risk, also for a saying "no risk, no gain", but sometimes circumstances won't follow philosophy rather stipulation. I wouldn't risk my life on a unknown object which according to the circumstances might be someone's idea to take our life.

illogical : since many people are going with option 2, I'd go with 1 because we need the game to go smoothly and also we need more cut-offs during the first play of game ;)
