Childhood (Or Teenagehood)
If you have seen my last cover on the movie of "Secrets" by Jay Chou, you can pretty much tell the movie has actually changed my life (or in that sense my piano life), ever since my brother bought that dvd back for me.
Since it's chinese new year time, and I'm back to my hometown, there are a lot of great memories keep flashing back on me, my childhood life, my teenage life, and so on.
I only have a brother, and we were like "Isi Dengan Kuku" (means very close in Malay proverbs) since young, because we don't really have immediate cousins, and all my uncles choose to stay single for the rest of their life.
And so it was always only me and him in the house, he was my only playmate, and we would do EVERYTHING together.
One of the best memories of my brother and I, was playing the piano together.
I learnt organ since I was 5 years old, and my brother did not pick up any musical instrument.
We came across this particular OST by the movie "Secrets", where you need three hands to play the song.
Of course back then, my brilliant idea is to involving my brother to help me out for the 3rd hand.
He complied obediently, and I taught him how to play.
He is a fast learner, it only took him 1 hour to learn everything.
Fast Forward to 2018
Fast forward to yesterday when I was back in my piano room, this song came straight to my mind, as I remember my brother and I would keep playing this song together. This is the only song he knows how to play!
I did a cover of it to reminisce the good old past.
My brother was out with his friends, so I did not ask for his help this time.
Bear in mind, this is the first time I edited the video using Adobe Premiere Pro, I put in a lot of effort learning from scratch, merging the video to sync the audio together, and split into 2 screens.
I have always wanted to learn this software, but this #steem-music platform initiated by @calebleejl has really pushed me to learn something that I never would in the past.

Acquiring extra skills is always a bonus, and a joy! :)
Hope you enjoy the video! :)
