RE: The New '5 Vote Target' does NOT Reduce Rewards - It Democratises Steemit Curation!!

in #steem-help8 years ago

The Average Curator: These users voting power will increase, and thus they will gain a larger share of the curation rewards.

This is the only part I'm not understanding. By average curator, do you mean somebody who votes 4 times a day?

And if so, even at that, that doesn't necessarily mean their share of the curation rewards is increased.... Am I missing something here?

This is what the dev team has failed to explain: after the change, your vote will be worth up to 8 times more than it is now. People who vote 100s of times per day will not see this boost, but people vote only a few times will.

What I mean is, Curators voting 00's of times per day will be losing voting power, whilst (in relative terms) other users will be gaining voting power. I don't know where the pivot is between gaining and losing exactly.

I just assumed that, users who are voting like a normal social media user will be gaining...

People will be gaining power in absolute terms.

Ah, relatively speaking! OK thanks!
