Heroes
We all love superheros. We want our Spiderman, the friendly neighbourhood hero to be witty and wise cracking and we also want our Deadpool. Then there is the mega hyped Avengers : Infinity War that sold out to crowd of all ages. There is a psychology behind it, superheroes help us feel empowered at moment of weakness.
It gives hope and faith. When there are just so much hate and so much destruction all around us, we want to know that we are just in the same predicament like the superheroes and we will eventually come out triumphant. You guys know I create parodies and satires. So I make superheroes too, but one with a twist.
The Blue Print of a Superhero
All superheros must have basic blueprint. The blue print are usually as follows:-
- They must have a story, one that explains how their powers are obtained
- They must have a costume, body hugging preferably
- They must have a sidekick, one that is capable but not as good as the superhero
- They must have an alter ego
- Their lives as their alter ego must be normal (Clark Kent/Peter Parker) or it must be superbly outrageous (Tony Stark/Bruce Wayne)
Creating a parody is to discard these images and then to poke fun at it. Of course since all superheroes logic is thrown out of the window, anything goes and this includes creating images that defies logic but for a few giggles.
If you notice, I like my heroes to wear belts and the belts must have their small water tumbler. This is to keep them hydrated when they fight crime. It is not always that they can get to take a snack, so at least they are not thirsty. This is very important and crucial during crime fighting moments.
Then there is the part where one follows part of the script and do not follow the other part. Superheros are usually good looking, fit and desirable. I want my superheros to be like everyday you and me. They have bulging tummies, they have to feed their wailing babies at home and they get tormented by their wifes when they want to go out for supper or watch football with the guys.
But like all superheroes, parody or otherwise, they need to be have an aura. The aura of mystery and the aura that says,
@zublizainordin says Everything is fine with Me @rambai #rambai Belt and all, but seluar. That is My concern... #zublizainordin
