I have not written articles for personal growth for a long time ever since I started actively writing educational articles using @steemiteducation tag.
I am aware that many of my followers followed me when I first started because I usually shared ideas of growth through my experience in steemit.
I have recently used @steem-bounty for the first time.
I would like to write some thoughts about it.
The driver behind @steem-bounty
The main driver behind @steem-bounty is @knircky.
I have been reading his posts about his regular workout routine to keep fit.
Although they were short posts but the fact that he has such determination to regularly exercise to keep fit really is a shame to us who work, eat and sleep daily.
We have neglected our need for regular exercise. I have developed quite a belly to compete with a pregnant lady for sure.
His posts do act as a good reminder to me the need for fitness.
Can you imagine for a man with heavy commitment with work and yet he is able to stay fit with regular exercise?
Modern society with heavy stress in our day job has given us too much excuses of tiredness due to heavy commitment.
He is really a nice role model for us to stay fit and yet do well in our daily job.
Learn how to balance your work and health!
I decided to give @steem-bounty a try since the main driver behind it is such a great guy.
To be frank, @steem-bounty may not necessary be a profitable project but @knircky probably wanted to find ways to excite the platform for more reflective readers rather than comment bots.
The fact is that no self-voting of your own comment is allowed and you can get downvoted for doing so.
Quality comments are really what authors would like to have.
Using @steem-bounty
It is not hard to use @steem-bounty at all.
Just go to your wallet and transfer to @steem-bounty the amount.
Put your link into memo.
This is exactly the same way how you buy upvotes from bots actually.
Click here to find out more about steem-bounty
You can see how easy it is to set a bounty and the rest just leaves it to the system.
No hassle!
Personal opinions of the benefits of using @steem-bounty
The below points are just some of my personal thoughts about the benefits of using @steem-bounty.
Newbies
Newbies who first joined usually found it hard to find readers to their articles.
Their posts get drown into the ocean with other articles almost the same moment when they post it.
You are literally competing with other fishes in this great ocean.
Getting a regular pool of supporters and friends is really crucial in the beginning stage especially when you have low steem power.
@steem-bounty can be another form of support and marketing for your article as @steem-bounty does collate articles with bounties as a summary.
There are definitely bounty hunters as well as newbies themselves who would like to gain some bounties to help with their own building of accounts. It is definitely a win-win for both sides.
By putting in some SBD as bounty for your article, you can attract more to read your article before posting a comment.
Since self-voting is not allowed, the author can actually downvote the comment.
In my opinion, @steem-bounty is another way to increase your visibility in steemit as well as getting more followers.
I must admit that setting up @steem-bounty does not mean you would definitely get noticed immediately.
It is not an instant noodle but it is just another form of marketing your article to get visibility.
Bounty distribution
In simple, the bounty distribution depends on the amount of upvotes that the commenters received.
80% voting weight comes from the creators while 20% comes from the community.
At the end of 7 days, the bounty would be distributed on its own by the system.
An important point that I would like to repeat is not to self-vote as it is not allowed and it is considered as an abuse to the system.
You would probably get downvoted when you do upvote your own comment.
Really easy and simple where all benefit.
Quite a cool and easy way for me since I just tried it not long ago.
Appreciative act for article
Every article of some length must have taken time to create.
If you have enjoyed an article and found it useful, it is really important to give the author an upvote of approval and encouragement so that he/she would put in more effort to create more of such articles.
I understand the attractiveness of a bounty for comment made but it will definitely be an abuse if you comment what you really don’t read or like to please the author to gain a bit of upvote.
It is really disgusting to do so.
Most serious content creators do hate such comments and I have read articles that they really intend to downvote these comments.
When I do visit an article and I decide to leave a comment, you will usually find an upvote to it too.
Appreciative content creators do welcome me to their articles and sometimes I may even mention some of them to help them to gain more attention.
Don’t comment to aim for a bounty but comment when you really mean it.
Give an upvote when you find deserving authors who can write well with large amount of time and effort invested.
The true essence behind @steem-bounty to me is really to encourage more active readers and help the authors to get real visitors to their articles.
Gaining visibility can be quite hard and @steem-bounty is another nice way to do so.
In conclusion
Every good initiative can have abused.
For a successful initiative to work, we must follow the rules to build a good foundation for steemit platform.
This article is purely my personal thoughts and opinions so it does not represent @steem-bounty or @knircky in anyway.
I am definitely not paid by @knircky for making this article but I definitely welcome an upvote for sure.
This article was made purely based on my own opinion and inspiration to do so.
In fact, there are plenty of @steem-bounty articles around in steemit.
I am just a small fish still swimming and surviving in this ocean.
Whatever you read, you really need to do your own research and decide if it is a system that you want to explore.
This is the end of my article and I hope you find it useful.
Appreciate your support and recognition for the effort that I put in for this article!

As with anything, if it is used as intended then there won’t be any issues. But unfortunately it is human nature to try to find ways to “beat the system.” I do think that @knircky has done a great job with it and it is a great idea to help drive traffic and help the little guys make some extra scratch as well. It may in time lead to a debate on whether it is fair or not much like the debate about the use of and existence of upvote and resteem bots, but that is far in the future. To be honest when I started with steemit I almost gave up because I was making such little progress. If I had something like @steem-bounty from the beginning it would have helped me grow alot quicker. As it is right now I have steemify set to notify me whenever a new bounty is placed so that I can contribute if I feel I have something worth saying on the topic. I am starting to build a very modest “daily income” that is comprised of author rewards, steem power delegation rewards, selling 10% of my votes, curation rewards, upvote rewards and steem-bounty rewards. Making a little bit everday helps me to be active every day which in turn helps me make a little bit every day and so on. Thanks for the post @fun2learn!
It is great that you find a way to gain some extra income using a variety of ways! Developing steemit takes a lot of patience for sure. May you continue to accumulate higher steem power to progress even further.
I wish you success as well. Thank you!
Congrats for you big upvote by @knircky for your comment. I also noticed that he upvoted barne734's comment which barne734 actually made an identical comment on another post by @elleok's on https://steemit.com/steem-bounty/@elleok/the-tool-to-encourage-and-reward-engagements-on-your-posts-steem-bount. Based on your experience, does @knircky usually upvote copy and paste comment by bounty hunter since he gave a big upvote. I did not upvote barne734 as I felt copy and paste comment isn't acceptable in steemit. What do you think?
Thanks! I am very appreciative of @knircky ‘s work and his upvote. I cannot speak to his actions as I don’t know his thought process, but I believe copying and pasting is generally frowned upon. I personally find it to be in poor form when commenting on someone else’s hard work.
@stwbll Thanks for your response. I will be doing some reflection to this @steem-bounty programme. This is only the second time I am using it.
@ steem-bounty is a great tool here at Steemit. Incredible, I was researching the use, and it provided me with all the information, I like the fact that novices on the Steemit platform can find a much wider audience in this way. regards @fun2learn.
It is great that you find it an useful tool for you! It really depends on the content you have as well.
buenio if amigo you are right
Just found this post after publishing my own "@steem-bounty promo" post.
Just love the idea behind it and the way it encourages and gives you the option to further reward peoples comments.
I have gone to take a look at your article. I will be commenting as well. Thanks for commenting as well as the similar thought that I had. Please also note that barbe734 made an identical comment on both our article.
I actually highlighted that barne734 made identical comment for both our articles but @knircky gave his comment a big upvote. Since you are a more experience user, is @knircky allowing copy and paste comment for his steem-bounty programme? I remember steemit does not encourage this and there is even bot setup to downvote such comments. What is your experience as I am very new in using @steem-bounty actually?
No I definitely do not appreciate them! I guess he must have over read your comment. With you mentioning him I think he will see this.
Awesome, I've been looking into using @steem-bounty and you provided all the information I was looking for!
Thank you! Use it if you find it fitting your needs. Always research before going into anything is a wise move!
Effective and essential info. for steem bounty setting...
@steem-bounty is a great bounty initiative , which is developed by @knirchy.. I used it.. Hopefully you use it in comfortable...
Hopefully it has brought you with good outcome after using!
I like the fact that newbies on the Steemit platform can find much wider audience this way. Eventhough they might only have limited amount of SBD they can still get some attention from the community.
Yes. Newbies can research to see whether it is useful to them.
Appreciate yout thoughts and opinion on the #steem-bounty concept and it is great to see you have supported the idea with your own post and the contribution on the subject.
You're welcome!
Congrats for getting an upvote from @knircky. Just notice you are a regular bounty hunter. I have asked a few commenters for their opinion. I noticed and highlight one of the commenters, barne734, actually made identical comment my article and @elleok's article but he still get a big upvote from @knircky. Does copy-and-paste comment acceptable in steem-bounty programme?
Copy-paste comments should not be allowed, as all the comments should be made meaningful, related to the actual (steem-bounty) post.
Thank you for your response.
Actually @knircky inspired me to start working out aswell.
I have been working out as long as he has been posting about his work outs for now on.
Everyday when I spot his workout post in my FEED I start working out aswell.
He really gives me good motivation <3
That is a good way to stay fit!
How it Work You can Check Here
I don't know how I have missed this initiative but it seems pretty interesting and a good way to get users to engage with your content, I will have to give it a try on some of my posts, thanks for the info
Thanks for your response for my article. It seems like you made an identical comment on @elleok's article for https://steemit.com/steem-bounty/@elleok/the-tool-to-encourage-and-reward-engagements-on-your-posts-steem-bount
@barne734 Please do not copy and paste comment that you already used for other articles. It is not acceptable in steemit.
Yes had heard of @steem-bounty and participated at thedarkhorse #payitforward initiative. Steem bounty is useful when you need engagement, especially when there is a topic to be discussed, or questions that need answers.
There are many steemians who go around hunting for steem bountied posts to leave comments. That is good for the system and community. However, not all posts are suitable to use steem bounty. Too much of them will attract more spammers and abusers.
Thank you for your good quality comment! It was very insightful and wise!
I love @steem-bounty I haven't used it personally on a post but it is used on a regular basis with the #PayItForward Curation Contest and it works great. It gives more incentive for comments.
I think that with where you are you should see an nice increase. If you go to their Discord channel and have questions they are pretty quick to answer.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Perhap, I can still qualify to be recommended for your payitforward program since my rep rate is below 60. lol. Thanks for dropping by and leave a comment!
You can definitely participate in the contest itself, it's open to everyone. To be featured have to be 50 and under unless there is a Theme that week which there usually is. Such as someone who has been a good influence, gives back to the community and such. For the bounty portion just commenting works.
Below 50, that would mean I am out. Anyway, nice to see that you are still active in steemit! Gave you an upvote so can expect some bounty to be on your way! Cheers!
That's just for being featured..... since I'm a judge now I can't enter but with the themed this week, someone should recognize you
You definitely fall into that.
LOL... It's really ok. Just a joke! We are 5 months old now. I guess the newbies need it more than us. We must have the giving spirit! Thanks for your positive thoughts about me!
You're doing great!! I think you would be great at this. The cool part is, that it has changed in the past couple of weeks. Due to enough donations the featured Steemians to the 'winners' are getting a share of SBI so they have a guaranteed vote to help them build.
I don't plan on going anywhere :D Just plugging along. I'm about to reach my first goal. Not to shabby for someone who started out w/o adding anything to my account.
Hey buddy! thanks for the detailed and complete introduction to @steem-bounty I have to admit that this is something I have not heard of and it truly does sound exciting!
I will try it in my next post or something!
To show my appreciation for this generousity of yours, i will upvote it and resteem it ! :)
Thanks @darrylnk for dropping by. You may want to research further to see whether it is useful to you based on your own needs.
Thanks for introducing @steem-bounty to me. To be honest, I have not heard of it before reading this article.
The way I show appreciation to my post commenters is usually by upvoting those comments myself. @steem-bounty seems like another interesting alternative which I can use.
Thank you for dropping by and your great contribution to @teamsingapore.
This is interesting. Could be used to encourage readers to engage in discussion.
Yes. It does encourage readers to make meaningful comments. Nevertheless, it can also attract comment bot that some steem-bounty hunter sets up to earn some quick cash! Thanks for your comment!
I have never heard of @steem-bounty. What a great way to bring actual traffic to your posts where you get people reading and actively engaged in what you are writing. I think comments are such a crucial part of Steemit and growing yourself. Thanks for sharing this information.
Thanks for your thoughtful comment! @broncofan99
You are definitely a great guy that supports many great initiatives and ideas in steemit platform.
@fun2learn,
First, I am against upvoting own comment.
I have not heard about @steem-bounty before. Now that I knew about it, I am willing to participate.
As always, I am learning from your post.
You are such a great writer.
Thankful to have you around.🙏❤️
Thank you for your visit. After posting this article, I notice there are some bounty hunters that upvotes one another's comments so there can still be unfairness if they do join as a group to help one another. @knircky also upvoted one comment by a commenter that was a copy-and-paste comment. I found an identical one at another post. I will reconsider whether I should use it again.
This is the first time I hear about @steem-bounty.
Will find out more how it works ! One transfer for 1 post right ?
Yes as memo can only have one link! Thanks for passing by!
It must be exciting to try out @steem-bounty for the first time to see how it goes. I went to your post to make a comment already. Cheers as we learn from one another more ways to see what works and what doesn't work!
Yes! Interesting :)
I tried it for the first time about a week ago, of course I didn't get a return on investment per se, but the engagement was really good, and I discovered some cool folks.
There may be more comments but some bounty hunters even thought they said good things about your article but they do not upvote for appreciation. I didn't really like this part. They should upvote to back their positive comment. I don't really see return on my investment as well at the moment. This system perhaps is good for contests as well as project engagement where we need commenters to contribute ideas.
Hello, if this is how it is @steem-bounty is an excellent option to reward your readers, I invite you to visit their website, in it you can see the post and not feel that you lose, is true on the platform as they pass the days are more tickets and if we count that each lasts 7 days is much more but the people of @steem-bounty and @knircky especially have taken this into account, and I think they have done a good job, it's good that you've been encouraged to taste it, I find it excellent. I leave your page for you to know success! https://www.steem-bounty.com/
Thank you for leaving your opinion about @steem-bounty.
I think @steem-bounty is a great tool here on Steemit. I use it in some of my giveaways / games to reward the winners. Instead of doing transfers I just upvote the winners and they receive the bulk of the Bounty as the winning prize.
On a side note ... I really need to start working out again ....
Thanks for your comment! Sounds like a good idea on how to reward your participants!
It saves on time as you don't have to manually payout the winners via the wallet. Plus it gives everyone a chance that entered to win a little of the prize via the community upvoting their entry.
I was thrilled to read your post. The things that you share in the article have made me understand every bit of steem bounty. As you say, only for upvote when you find good articles with large amount of investment time. That's exactly what the platform needs. I wrote my first article on bounty steem in order to introduce to my community about the app after reading your post. Wish you success in the future
Thank you!
Buenos días amigos, creo que @steem-bounty es una gran herramienta aquí en Steemit, es excelente! proporciona mucho a esta plataforma, información de maravillosa calidad, saludos @fun2learn
Gracias por su respuesta
As need to digest the contents, resteem for read during Raya holiday 😀. Brief glance tru looks like an interesting things.
(1)as for an exercise regiment -
doctors recommended only 3 times a week for at least 20 minutes to maintain proper cardiovascular health- not too difficult
(2) commenting on posts for steem bounty-
yes - one should speak straight from the heart - not pander- as this is pretty freaking obvious -this should also be applied to one's own work - if you wish to break the surface of the pond - so to speak -good content especially if you cannot afford #bots @angrytwin you will get all this and original #photography to boot -cheers
thank you for sharing! still new and this look interesting!
You're welcome!
Maravilloso post amigo, excelente me encanto muchísimo, lo investigare mas a fondo, para ver si me sirve útil gracias por la información @fun2learn saludos .
Please note that there is a rule for @steem-bounty where commenters are not allowed to self-vote for their comment.
@fun2learn has set 2.000 SBD bounty on this post!
What is a bounty exactly?
A bounty is money sent to a post to be distributed to the users commenting on it. It provides a way to reward users directly and works in addition to the steem/sbd they receive from the blockchain. It works independently of SteemPower.
You create a bounty by sending any amount of sbd/steem to @steem-bounty together with a post-url in the memo.
How can I earn a bounty Users are then competing for the bounty by writing their answers to the post in comments that will achieve upvotes from the community and especially the bounty creator. The money of the bounty gets distributed to all top level comments of the post at the same time when the post is paid out (7 Days after it was written). How much everyone gets depends on the votes the comments received. The sender of the bounties votes are weighted higher so that she decideds where 80% of the bounty money goes and all other votes determine the rest.@steem-bounty does all of this for you automatically. You can use this service to automatically pay out a challenge, ask a hard question or simply to reward the people that interact with you.
Read more about how it works, even in different languages here.
Congratulations to the following winner(s) of the bounty!
Buen post amigo de verdad me encanto @fun2learn.
Thank you for reading it!
