Over at https://steemit.com/contest/@creativesoul/steem-art-photo-editing-contest-1, @creativesoul is hosting a neat art contest. You start by downloading a base image and then manipulate it using whatever tools and techniques you like, to create a new image from the old.
Here's my entry:
I did all the work in Nodewerk with just eight nodes including the original image in the upper left and a plasma field for color. Most of the work is tweaking and melding glitch-effects so that it's still obvious what the image was, but adding a bunch of interest:
