Hello,
when contributing to a project, in this case the Steem blockchain and its platforms, it is vital to know how your plattform is doing.
So I have taken an extended look at the data provided with the Steem blockchain.
Regarding the collected data, all the posts on Steemit that used the "dsound" tag were extracted via SQL.
Of course, this inevitably unsharpens the results to a certain amount. Every post on DSound carries the "dsound" tag. However, it is possible that posts not posted on DSound still carry a "dsound"-Tag. For example a video of me on D.Tube, which is about DSound and therefore also has the "dsound"-tag. With more than 177,000 contributions per month in some cases, however, this statistical error is unlikely to have a major impact.
Info: All graphics open a new tab when you click on them, so you can easily hold several graphics next to each other to draw comparisons.
DSound is a relatively "boring" service on the Steem blockchain. Boring in regard to the following statistical data. Of course not boring regarding the service itself. For example there were no punitive incidents like we have seen in Zappl's case.
That's why we start directly with the monthly distribution of earnings.
It's always hard to start, as you can see from the fact that there wasn't much to get, even for the top 30 users.
DSound is a project from user "prc". We find his account here directly in second place. However, this is one of the above-mentioned uncertainties. The 700,- SDBs he got, were a result of his announcement post. Of course his post wore the "dsound" tag.
The picture repeats itself in October. There was a slight decline in the number of users on the platform, as we will see in more detail below.
Only in November will the revenue for users rise substantially.
This is also where the share of the top 30 users in total revenues is beginning to decline. It is "only" 77%. Of course it's still a lot, but we are used to completely different numbers from Zappl.
In December there was another setback in this respect...
which we neglect, because in January 2018 the whole service will develop properly again.
Almost half of all income goes to non-Top 30 users. Like the development of Zappl, there was also a very strong increase in user numbers in January. We can already see this in the sum of the incomes for all users on the platform. At almost 70,000 SDBs, this figure is almost seven times higher than in the previous month.
This positive trend will continue in February 2018.
More users, more contributions and more income. All the platforms examined so far really got off to a flying start in January 2018 and these good results were then even topped in February.
The last month at our disposal for this survey shows - like Zappl - a mixed picture.
The distribution of income looks almost perfect. Almost 70% of the income goes to the vast majority of uploaders. Unfortunately the income itself has almost halved compared to the strong previous month.
We better get an overview by displaying the posts on DSound:
We see growth up to and including February and then a sharp drop in the last month. The fact that fewer posts were posted to DSound is resulting from the fact that many users did not post any posts in March 2018 despite the good previous month.
In percentage terms, the decline in number of users is even greater than the decline in the number of posts. Why that happened is unknown. With such favourable revenue distributions, however, we wish DSound and its users the best.
Finally a look at the votes, which were carried out from the DSound account itself. Usually, platform accounts have received a large delegation to enable them, to make their community grow faster.
In the case of DSound, the possibility of voting was not used until January 2018. With the stronger month of February, there was also an increase in the number of voting, but then in March it plummeted again.
From the user's point of view, it is desirable the platform account spreads his "power" as widely as possible. It is therefore worth comparing these numbers with other platforms.
The image shows that the approx. 2,600 votes from February 2018 were distributed among approx. 500 users on the platform. Whether these are good values can only be clarified more precisely with future data.
The following top 30 graph shows which accounts have received the most votes.
Of course, it is not clear why the first top account received about 13 cumulative 100% upvotes. But if you spread the number over 3 months you have about one upvote per week. Again, we should compare these values with those of other platforms before we make a judgment.
So in summary: With the start into 2018, DSound also received a lot of attention. It's too soon to see if she can maintain momentum. The month of April should be quite exciting. Especially because it looked quite similar on the Zappl platform.
Okay.
You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:
It should be that happened instead of that happend. Thanks for pointing that out. It's fixed now.
You, mr nazi have the right username :D Thanks for making me smile :D Bots.... :D
Haha, browsing steemit for finding spelling mistakes. That is/would be funny :D
