My academic background is statistics and my profession is statistician. With that academic and professional background I worked at BPS-Statistics Indonesia for 30-years until 2011. Nevertheless, the long career does not diminish my personal interest since young on philosophy, especially perennial philosophy, a philosophical school (if we can say so) that draws particular attention to eternal, universal, nonpartisan, and essential truth.
At first glance, there seems to be an awkward mix of academic and professional backgrounds with a personal interest. It is not really a case as each of the two is basically concerned about the truth: statistics on empirical or physical level, perennial philosophy on metaphysical level.
In a nutshell I am among those who are always concerned about the truth, thirst for truth. "Thirst of truth" is what prompted me to write in a blog called uzairsuhaimi.blog.
