I am going a little bit away from the conflict topic of what you described in your post. I asked myself if governments are an emergent structure. I would assume that human mankind started out without a government in place. You could assume that they were very close to somehow an anarchistic society. There must have been a tipping point when they have established their first government structures.
Now with the virtual technologies in place we are actually in a position to test it out some point in time. I could imagine an anorcho blockchain based community on the internet where people start out with the same amount of rights or non-rights and the same amount of resources. I wonder what will happen and how they go about to optimize their access to the resoures within this virtual anorcho world. Just a thought...
