I was catching up on the weekly news on the Steem Blockchain and I came across this great initiative via @oracle-d and originating from @soyrosa: https://steemit.com/steem/@soyrosa/i-asked-they-replied-steem-added-to-stateofthedapps-com
The premise being: that https://www.stateofthedapps.com/ only have details of DApps that are built on EOS, Ethereum and POA. @soyrosa has asked for them to add the option of submitting Steem DApps onto their register: See here:
They have said they will consider it. Can you help them make their choice!

Look at this short selection of exciting projects, applications and communities that have made the Steem Blockchain their home:
ACTIFIT –@actifit built in H1 of 2018 is one of the first DApps gearing up for Smart Media Tokens and rewards fitness activity with cryptocurrency! The app is available as an Android app and also an iOS version is either live or in development. See their website for more information.
FUNDITION - @fundition the Kickstarter of the Steem Blockchain – a crowdfunding site which connects project founders with funders, backers and donors, and furthermore it does not take any transaction fees. Tonnes of info on this inventive use of blockchain technology is in this purple paper here and on their website here.
ORACLE-D – @oracle-d are a huge project with no bounds to their inventiveness but primarily they incentivise and reward digital content creators with STEEM for producing valuable work for Oracle-D clients in order to help them spread the word about a particular product or services. Their website is here.
SNDBOX - @sndbox a community program with has its roots in New York develops educational, exhibitions and creative programs that help bring together communities of creatives and businesses with the tools of the blockchain world. Their website is here.
STEEMPRESS - @steempress have built a WordPress plugin which allows bloggers to post automatically from their personal websites across to the Steem Blockchain. Now it's even easier for content curators to share their articles on both the wider internet and the blockchain automatically, further info is available here.
STEEMMONSTERS - @steemmonsters is a decentralized, digital collectible trading card game built on the Steem blockchain, and is one of the most successful projects of 2018 raising several hundred thousands of dollars. The launch has been highly successful, and you can read more about this game on their website.
UTOPIAN - Utopian is a mature community where they reward professional contributions to Open Source projects by utilising a decentralised, vote-based reward system. Contributions come in many forms including code/development tasks, tutorials, bug-hunting, graphic design, translations and analysis. @utopian-io can be found here.
As you can see, there are so many innovative and exciting applications of blockchain technology. And I have only just scratched the surface of the DApps.
TWO QUESTIONS FOR THE STEEM COMMUNITY:
1) Have you seen as many Apps on any other blockchain?
2) Is the Steem Blockchain the Blockchain for building DApps?
There's dozens of dApps to choose from! Glad you're joining in the fun of showing off our wealth on Steem on twitter ;-)

You are right - it really is not easy to choose 5 - and so it will be great to see on Rosanne (@soyrosa's) thread on Twitter a wide variety of selections!. After all there are hundreds of clever people on here building clever Apps and Communities - and each will have a passionate following!
