Narendra Modi's election campaign in Karnataka starts
India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his campaign on Tuesday in the local election in the southwestern state of Karnataka. Here he will address different gatherings.
Local elections will be held in the state on May 12.
The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) officials said that Modi will address three gatherings organized in this state.
Election officials said that 2,2655 candidates contested in the 224-seat state assembly elections. Of these, there are 219 female candidates.
Modi is scheduled to address more than 12 gatherings in the state till May 8.
