This post reminded me of an article I read about life possibly being on Titan (here http://www.iflscience.com/space/the-chemistry-of-titan-could-pave-the-way-for-future-life/).
A simulation showed that Titan has a very key ingredient to produce the building blocks of life, hydrogen cyanide.
I believe that if we find complex life outside of Earth, then it will most likely have to be a creature resembling a mammal that has adapted to the unique conditions of its own planet. I don't think aliens are what everybody makes them out to be, the probability of finding life that resembles anything close to humans is very slim, but still possible. However, the possibility of finding well adapted life to extreme conditions is more likely.
Its almost clichè to remind you how small our solar system is compared to the rest of the universe, so imagine how many other planets there are like Earth or Titan that have had a chance at starting life on it.
There were trillions of planets that just didnt make the cut, billions that just support unintelligent life forms and only a handful of a million planets that can support well adapted intelligent life forms like us, humans.
They are out there, they just probably dont look the way you think they would!
Cheers!
