Steemit is what I like to call a game-changer as it has created an avenue for interaction among individuals from different races, tribes and groups. It has given room for Inter-relationship among its users thereby connecting them together in unity, also effecting changes in the lives of its users, as well as aiding a stable economic structure for communities.
Steemit seems to have penetrated the vast populace of Africa and of course Nigeria isn’t left out on this. With the help of some communities like @debrecords @africaunchained @leadent360 in collaboration with SIN (Steemit in Nigeria), @stach etc, as well as the launching of the #Project20millionnaija campaign by @stach, reports have it steemit has been registered on the minds of a vast number of young Africans with due reference to Nigerians especially.
It’s the steemit virus and we are happy carriers
However, this post would be giving a report on the activities in the Uyo community, Nigeria. Uyo community, especially with the help of @Stach has registered about 200 users and some others who were made to join their own community. To this respect, the uyo community has organised a total of four meetups which would be subsequently outlined. The aim of these meetups was basically to unite the people of the community, to give some tips on what steemit is and what steemit has to offer as well as how to succeed on steemit. The meetups also didn’t fail to promote the #Project20millionnaija campaign, as the person with the highest invitee was given a reward. Thus, aiming to aid the achievement of the campaign.
Find below the details of the meetups that has been held in this community overtime.

Consequently, there have been other individual meetups as would be shown with pictures below:
This is @xpressng’s group on WhatsApp where she put some enthusiastic youngsters who indicated interest in joining the community and she, with the assistance of @ifioklee groomed them and subsequently helped them create and account and of cos there’s are some very nice testimonies already. @ifioklee his way to make sure every youngster around him doesn’t lay at the mercy of the government to provide a job for them and even at the end of the day get paid with peanuts (very little amount money).
