Do You Believe in Miracles??
A miracle is an event not explicable by natural or scientific laws. Such an event may be attributed to a supernatural being (a deity), magic, a miracle worker, a saint or a religious leader.
Informally, the word "miracle" is often used to characterize any beneficial event that is statistically unlikely but not contrary to the laws of nature, such as surviving a natural disaster, or simply a "wonderful" occurrence, regardless of likelihood, such as a birth. Other such miracles might be: survival of an illness diagnosed as terminal, escaping a life-threatening situation or 'beating the odds'. Some coincidences may be seen as miracles.
A true miracle would, by definition, be a non-natural phenomenon, leading many rational and scientific thinkers to dismiss them as physically impossible (that is, requiring violation of established laws of physics within their domain of validity) or impossible to confirm by their nature (because all possible physical mechanisms can never be ruled out). The former position is expressed for instance by Thomas Jefferson and the latter by David Hume. Theologians typically say that, with divine providence, God regularly works through nature yet, as a creator, is free to work without, above, or against it as well. The possibility and probability of miracles are then equal to the possibility and probability of the existence of God.

I sat down to listen to someone speak about miracles. In her own opinion, miracles weren't an act of Divine Providence, but a coincidence.
Somebody was sick and he/she got healed
There's nothing special about that, time and chance just took it's toll She said.
Is it really true that coincidences can be that accurate and common?
A lot of people who don't believe in miracles are of the opinion that there is no God. There's no supernatural realm and therefore no force causing miracles to happen.
There are loads of occurrences today that can't be explained, scenarios that seem impossible. What do we say about those? They are just random occurring coincidences?? No they are not.
I'm a Christian, I believe in God, and I believe in miracles.
My mum had a serious life threatening issue when I was still a kid,I think it was something to do with her heart they said. That was in the year 2000. The new millennium. She feel so ill that year that she practically lost weight and was rid of consciousness and the doctors confirmed that she was going to die.
By then my Dad had already started putting things in place for us to cope eventually when my mom dies. For almost 2 years we awaited the news of her death and none was forthcoming.
One fateful day I got back from school(primary school) and from outside, I could hear the noise coming from inside the house and I thought to myself, Alas! It has happened. I braced myself and walked inside the house, behold, I saw my mum sitting on the chair, very lively and the whole house was filled with people celebrating God. I was lost in the euphoria of the joy and couldn't even listen to her testimony until She said it in church on Sunday. She told of how the doctors had told her she was going to die that day and after their report was dished out . She immediately had a surge of faith on her inside and muttered some few words to God and in no more than an hour She said she felt she was worked upon, Activities were going on in her body system and as she felt it, she was beginning to feel better and within two hours, she was totally healed, strength had returned to her, she could walk, she could speak audibly and she screamed for the doctors and she said when the doctor in charge of her case came around, he was speechless. He said science could not explain what had happened. Before then this is a doctor that was against all forms of the supernatural but he called what happened to my mother "A MIRACLE". All the nurses on duty were overwhelmed with what had happen, science had failed to explain this.
What do we say then about my mother's case?
Was it an act of Divine Providence or It was a random occurring coincidence. She prayed to God and few hours She was totally healed.
Today my mum is alive, I enjoy her sumptuous meals.
Maybe some tings that happen are an act of coincidence. But coincidences are ordered by God. I read of cars starting without engines, women giving birth without wombs, dead men raised to life. All these occurring only in the belief of a Superior Supernatural Being.
Science has exposed the universe to numerous and diverse possibilities, but science cannot perform jaw dropping miracles.

I can remember the apocalypse prediction in 2012 and the whole world panicked. Everybody got prepared to witness the end of the world.
I was up all night the day before the actual day. I wanted to witness the beginning of the end. Unfortunately, there was no end. I went about that day as normally as possible. Science had failed once more I thought to myself.
Most times I feel God creates these anomalies that scientists observe and allow them make predictions and disprove their craftiness.
Science was created by God. Creation can not surpass "The Creator".
Think of how many times science has failed in their predictions.
Miracles are an act of Divine Providence.
