"Uncle please stop"... the girl lamented.Her Uncle on the other hand wouldn't let her be.This girl had been sexually assaulted and molested by her Uncle on several occasions.She had been raped seven times.She had been converted to a sex machine and surprisingly no one believed her. 
Her Aunty thought she was suffering from a mental illness,her friends said she was delusional and her close relatives said she was bluffing.It's like the world was against this poor girl.
She had enough of the entire episode.This attempt by her Uncle proved to be the eighth time and she was determined not to give in.Immediately, she picked up a pen knife which she usually used in peeling oranges and stabbed him.Her Uncle died instantly.And even after that she was taken to a psychiatric hospital since the world thought she was mad and that would be the best to prevent any further harm.Things changed subsequently when it was discovered that she was innocent.She was released and sent far away from her Uncle's family to a place she could discover herself.
A LITTLE REVIEW ABOUT THIS GIRL
Monica is her name.She is 18 years old and lived in Africa.She had been a victim of rape since she was 14 years old.Her parents died in a plane crash when she was 12 years old.Her Uncle decided to play that fatherly role or monsterly role for this purpose.She had been raped severally by her Uncle.Twice when she was 14 years of age,again when she was 15,twice when she was 16 and twice when she was 17 years of age.It had become a regular thing for her Uncle and to make matters worse,no one believed her.# header
"Her Uncle was a saint", that's what everyone said.She had always refused him sex in the open but once she was alone at home with him,he would rape her.She always cried and caused the day her parents died.Her Aunty made matters worse.Always blaming her and calling her " witch",always accusing her for suffering from a mental illness because according to her,her husband was a SAINT.
At that age,Monica was young and traumatized so bad she couldn't concentrate talkless of having a bright future.After her Uncle's death,she was initially sent to a psychiatric hospital but was later set free and sent far away.It was very difficult for her especially finding true love considering her predicament but she finally did and is now happily married to her husband.Two kids(one boy and one girl) were born out of that matrimony. 
One thing for sure though,the wounds will heal but the scars will still remainitalic,things Monica knew.She didn't choose that life neither did she orchestrate it.Monica had to live with that stigma for the rest of her life.

THE WAY FORWARD
Interestingly,some females out there are victims of rape and have endured this cankerworm for sometime.Luckily, I prepareome guidelines for the victims and those interested in combating any rape related situation.
For the victims:
1.Be alert and active:Try avoiding being raped by actually running away from that location or protecting yourself with reasonable force.
2.Let go of guilt:Stop blaming yourself for what happened and try looking for how to make the situation better.Be the boss of your life and not someone else.
3.Report the matter to friends and families:Don't cage your thought to yourself,tell people around you and note their response. If reasonable,it's good .If not,you take the matter to the appropriate law enforcement agency.
4.Report the matter to any law enforcement agency nearest to you so the matter can be investigated before it gets calamitous.
For those interested in combating rape related situations:
1.Be vigilant.
2.Report any rape related situation to the Police or any law enforcement agency.
3.Always bring 100% happiness to the victim.Stop nagging,stop complaining and stop threatening as this may endanger the mental state of that victim.
A host of other rape related measures are present. At this juncture,I will say be happy,be safe,be brave,let no one be the boss of your life.Say NO to rape.
