Splinterlands is going crazy right now!
The SPS price is over 10x the presale price, we are climbing on dApp charts, card prices are going crazy, and we just passed 22k daily active users!
Card prices have skyrocketed, and most cards have jumped 10x - 100x in price!
Even the Rental Market is doing very well right now.
Not only with good returns for renters, but also for people trying to get into the game for cheap!
However, there is ONE thing that I don't think people have taken into consideration...
Player Staking!
Now I am not just talking about staking SPS on yourself, but being able to stake your SPS on any other player (including top players), and earn from their wins as well!
This is from the Ranked Battle section of the SPS whitepaper.
"Staked SPS tokens can (but are not required to) be staked on a particular player which will allow both the SPS holder and the player to earn rewards based on the player's performance.
SPS holders may stake their SPS on themselves and/or other players and they may spread their stake among any number of different players that they choose. Players may also choose to limit the players who may stake SPS on them to their guild members, a specific list of accounts, or leave it open for anyone to stake SPS tokens on them."
Also the higher your rank and the more SPS you have staked on you will determine how much SPS you earn from battle rewards!
Remember though that you don't always want to pick the most popular players for this reason the team explains...
"The system is designed such that the more SPS tokens that are staked on a player, the more rewards the player and the holders of the SPS tokens staked on them will earn in total, but with diminishing returns. This means that the more SPS tokens that are staked on a player, the lower the return will be per SPS token staked."
However this is HUGE for not only crypto, but all eSports!
At first you might think this is something like gambling or horse racing...
But you would be mistaken, because even though while staking a player or yourself, you win SPS... You don't lose any SPS if you or the player you are staking loses!
So this is a first of it's kind, and it is very exciting!
Player staking is coming soon, and you will need to stake SPS on yourself not only to earn SPS from daily battles, but also for future Splinterlands events and giveaways.

love this mate it actually reminds me of poker where you can buy a share in someone for the WSOP and if they win big well everyone wins. A friend of mine used a website and had a percentage of someone who went pretty deep in the WSOP main event a few years ago haha. Everything is looking super exciting for SL thats for sure still feel like even new comers now are early!

Only 3 people who help newcomers... Ask the Splinterlands chat I have given away thousands of free cards to hundreds of new players almost everyday for years! I fight for new players all of the time, and I have given away about 50-100 FREE Legedary cards to new players asking for nothing in return! I just gave away about $500+ in Legendary cards and SPS the night of the SPS launch.
