9th July - Splinterlands Update + Another Big Tourney Prize + The Mother Of All Quest Rewards!

I do! :) Beautiful weather here in Germany and as I'm a fan of statitistics I'm constantly logging and keeping track of the daily development of my card collection value. I have mentioned this briefly several times now, but at the moment I am still working on an actual schedule for my different post categories, of which one will definitely be monetary statistics for Splinterlands.

Regarding these statistics, I found a big anomaly within the development of the last days prices (atleast for my personal card collection, which you can check here).

7th July Value: 683.7$
8th July Value: 628.4$
9th July Value: 786.99$

That is a pretty hefty fluctuation and I have so far only found one possible culprit:

I'm currently owner of 3 Rennyns. Seems like someone is buying the already scarce supply and corner the market. I think I might want to get 2 more to level up before they would get exorbitantly expensive. Might also be very profitable for renting them out for league and toruanment play then, as it is still one of the strongest Splinters with one of the most OP summoners.

But as the price only jumped from 35$ to now 50$ there must have been an increase over the bank and for other cards aswell.

This might have to do with more and more people picking up the game, alpha and beta packs getting scarcer and scarcer and peopel generally producing some kind of FOMO. For an investor that is exactly what you want. But experience from several crypto bull- and bearmarkets have shown me that this is usually a strong idicator for selling into the FOMO and then buying back in cheaper. For me personally, I will jsut stick to playing with my cards as I use most of them, but will probably try to get ridd of some of the ones that I really barely use and are not so popular after all - Let's see how this pans out (might also be interesting to share these findings)

On another positive side-note, guilds are coming next month and I'm pretty excited. You can read on the topic here.

As many people don't just see the fun of Splinterlands, but also see it as a chance for a great investment, I want to give newcomers who are still contemplating an honest outlook on what can be expected. So yeah I have been tracking my statistics in every regard and will publish a summarized post of each of these, once the schedule and other topics are done.

One other thing that you can expect from me in the near future are giveaways on a recurring basis. As I'm still quite new to the world of Steemit Publishing, I would like to take the chance and ask you guys, in what kind of giveaways you would be interested? What format for participation and rules, what kind of rewards etc.?

So as far as for the promises for the coming weeks, I guess I'm done and can finally inform you about what I actually achieved yesterday:

A Second Place in the "Silvershield Knights Are Recruiting" Tournament. The field was once again super strong and I felt that the most in the final. @rivalzzz beat me with a 3-0 and secured himself a 6 STEEM win. Congratulations to him and everyone else participating.

I'm glad for the 5 STEEM prize and will use it for the coming giveaways!

For today I will probably only play This Tourney. But I don't think my chances are too great as I'm missing many essential cards for any good build. But who knows, I guess there could also be many other people that lack the right cards ;)

The Mother of all Quest Rewards

In Germany we usually say "Das Beste kommt zum Schluss" , meaining something like: saving the best for last. Anyways, I did exactly that. After the Last Quest Reward Hunt, which was quite painful. I once again got the Earth Splinter for an esy cruising through the 5 wins.

The 400 Rank points that I have lost are slowly but surely getting back to the point, before the last quest. I have enjoyed this session very much, but I have enjoyed the reveal of the Quest Rewards even MORE:

With the 2x Divine Sorceress and the Ruler of the Seas, this reward pack sums up to an astonishing 8,06$
This is definitely the best one which I've personally seen for myself so far. If you have also received amazing quest rewards, please feel free to share them down below.
