End of Season Recap
The end of my fifth complete season has come to pass and it was a great season for me. I was able to battle my way out of the Bronze league by the second day, I earned more DEC than I spent, I added 11 cards to my collection and I had a great time doing it all. Special shout out to my guild member @pewsplosions for gifting me a few cards, on top of these rewards, to push me over 5000 CP
It is amazing to me that what seems such a simple game, has so many different strategies and outcomes. Each season I learn more about the different abilities and how they work for and against each other. Building different lineups with different splinters and trying to balance playing my favorite splinters, while still staying comfortable with the other splinters is difficult.
On top of learning the game, there is also the crypto and Hive aspects to learn as well. Liquidity pools, blogging and curating are still new concepts to me and I’m having a great time diving head first into all of it. All the different ways to learn and earn have fully sucked me in.

The Rewards
What season would be complete without the excitement of opening the end of season rewards chests?
I'm still waiting for that first elusive legendary card, but I was happy to pull three rare cards and a total of eight cards to add to the collection.
I found Splinterlands like 2-3 years ago. And this is why I didn't play. It seemed like such a simple (and therefore quick to become boring) game. I really regret that. Not just because I missed my chance to make tons of money but now I realize, like you have, the game is deceptively deep on strategy. So many rulesets, situations, cards, and counters to learn. I've been playing quite a lot for about 6 months now and still don't have the best grasp on things. It is a fun game. 😀
