Indonesian representatives have completed their performance in the second round of the 2018 World Championships. There are eight representatives of Red and White who advanced to the round of 16 large.
The men's and women's doubles sectors each placed three representatives in the last 16. While the mixed doubles send two partners.
The men's and women's singles number has left no representatives in the last 16. Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Tommy Sugiarto, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, and Fitriani stalled in the second round.
From the men's doubles number, Indonesia put Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo / Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, Fajar Alfian / Muhammad Rian Ardianto, and Berry Angriawan / Hardianto in round 16.
Kevin / Marcus escaped after going through a fierce battle against the host representative, Han Chengkai / Zhou Haodong. The world number one pair will next face Vladimir Ivanov / Ivan Sozonov.
Dawn / Rian will challenge the fifth seed, Takeshi Kamura / Keigo Sonoda. While Berry / Hardi will fight Takkuto Inoue / Yuki Kaneko.
In the women's doubles number, Greysia Polii / Apriyani Rahayu will face Chow Mei Kuan / Lee Meng Yean in the last 16. While Della Destiara Haris / Rizki Amelia Pradipta will fight Chayanit Chaladchalam / Phataimas Muenwong. Anggia Shitta Awanda / Ni Ketut Mahadewi Istarani will fight Lee So Hee / Shin Seung Chan.
Meanwhile, a tough challenge awaits the mixed doubles pair, Hafiz Faizal / Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja in the round of 16 large. They will face top seed, Zheng Siwei / Huang Yaqiong.
Another representative of Indonesia in mixed doubles is Praveen Jordan / Jasmine Daeva Oktavianti. Praveen / Melati will fight third seed, Tang Chun Man / Tse Ying Suet.
