Valentino Rossi and Yamaha underwent one of the worst weekends at the Austrian MotoGP. Suffering with existing conditions, The Doctor tried to enjoy it.
Amid the fast of a victory that has been going on for one year, Yamaha could have a bad result in the Austrian MotoGP qualifying session. The best result they achieved in qualifying was sixth place on behalf of Johann Zarco.
Vinales finished 11th in the Austrian MotoGP qualifying session, 1,043 seconds slower than Marc Marquez who took pole. While Rossi reap worse results in 14th position.
In the Austrian MotoGP race that took place Sunday (08/12/2018) night WIB, Rossi can get pretty good results. He climbed eight steps to finally finish sixth.
"We suffered a lot this weekend and you need the same concentration as when fighting to finish on the podium, even though it was only to finish sixth and avoid being in eighth place. So, it's not easy," Rossi said after the race.
"But in the end, I enjoyed the race, because I did a lot of overtaking and nobody overtook me. If I can start in a slightly better position, I will be able to fight with Petrucci to be in the top five," continued The Doctor quoted from Crash.
The sixth finish at the Austrian MotoGP did not make Rossi displaced from second place in the MotoGP standings. But the distance with Marc Marquez was further, becoming 56 points now. From the bottom, Rossi also continued to be pinned by Jorge Lorenzo who is now only 12 points behind.
