RE: Crypto social media is blooming! Sprtshub has relaunched as a blogging/gaming platform built on top of the EOS blockchain!

They thing is that Steemit Inc (the business lead by Ned) and the Steem blockchain are mostly assumed as the same entities... And since Steemit Inc seems to be poorly managed, the blockchain's image is severely damaged by them. But the Screen blockchain is a amazing peace of technology (just take a look at what @aggroed is building with steemmonsters, the steem-engine exchange, and the killer scobot-nitrus combo. If you are not familiar with them, I suggest you to read the last 3 months @aggroed's post). The potential of the Steem blockchain is much more than the potential of a single company such as Steemit Inc.

Howdy sir joelsegovia! oh I know the potential for the blockchain is great but I want steemit to be great so I can justify spending so much time here, making some money would be nice. I'm familiar with everything except scobot-nitrus combo. I've heard something about nitrus but can't recall what it is.

Basically @aggroed just released SMT by himself 😂 nitrus-scobot allows you to create your own distribution mechanism for tokens created on steem-engine (they work as SMT are supposed to work). For example the minnow support project just created their website (www.palnet.io), there the content is filtered by the #planet tag, and you have your pal power (staked balance of PAL tokens) to vote for the post you like. The PAL platform runs on top of the very same Steem blockchain, thus what you have is a duplicated front end such as the one we see on esteem, busy, and steempeak; the difference is that besides earning the steem rewards you also earn pal tokens when receiving votes on palnet.io by users who has staked a lot of pal coins (aka the ones with a lot of pal power).

You can do the math on steem-engine, right now is not much but the boost this can give to the communities within Steem is amazing (sadly this will not be reflected in price raise immediately since Steem = Steemit is an idea difficult to erase from an inventor's mind).

Howdy sir joelsegovia! man, you are so good at explaining this technical stuff. I just read a review today about Palnet but your explanation makes it more clear! Do you know what percentage of the earnings post creators will earn? I was wondering if it was going to remain at the 75/25 ratio or switch to 50/50 like the new hardfork.

It is 50/50... theoretically this will incentive user's to curate more since you can earn half of your voting power (it could be more if you find the content first, but it also could be less if you arrive late) just curating. But dunno if content creators will take 50% of their post rewards to be allocated to curators (I think this approach fits the actual investor's mindset ruling the platform since without curators there are no rewards besides self-voting but if nobody creates content there will be no post to cast votes on besides your own).

Actually, this can be solved via marketing strategies... the really problem is the clickbait image (the $ symbol) Steemit anchors just at the bottom of your post. We earn Steem here not dollars. Therefore if Steemit inc just wants to keep their clickbait that much, then they should just put the $ figure equivalent with the authors chink of the post reward. Then, you will have a content creator hypnotized by the amount of $ he/she wants to cash out from here without feeling outraged because half of their "dollars" were taken by the evil curators lol... So one figure showing the total Steem/SBD or STU earned by the post and a second figure a $ number equivalent to the total (75% or 50%) of the post rewards that will be allocated to the post creator... but hey, Steemit inc should now this already (I think)...

If you don't know how to claim your pal coins, just follow this guide, the process is straight forward.
