Pinnick, a friend to Swansea City striker, Tammy Abraham's father put the mind of Nigerians to rest about whether Abraham would one day play for his Motherland, he believes so in the near future. But this negates the players claims that he never considered playing for Nigeria despite being approached by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, President Amaju Pinnick.
Tammy Abraham was born and brought up in London and was eligible to play for the Super Eagles through his parentage, but the young player chose England over his Motherland. He says he never considered playing for Nigeria.
He told Sky Sports, “I was pretty set on England really. Playing in the Premier League meant it would be nice to play in the England team as well.
He prefers to play for England. He must have his own reasons , so let's let give him a break.
He should have seen this as a great opportunity to honour his country but his mind is all made up
