National Basketball Association (NBA) legend Michael Jordan has donated one million dollar to the Bahamas - a storm-hit area last week.
On his Twitter, the Charlotte Hornets owner Jordan expressed his deep sadness over the devastation that typhoon Dorian had made to the Caribbean archipelago. At least 50 people were killed and thousands displaced on the island during the storm.
"I am devastated to see the destruction that Hurricane Dorian has brought to the Bahamas, where I own property and visit frequently," Jordan said as he announced his promise. "My heart goes out to everyone who is suffering and to those who have lost loved ones."
Last year, Jordan, 56, also donated $ 2 million to Carolina hit by hurricane Florence.
