ahhhh justifiable proud Dad syndrome! Swimming is one of those sports that seems to take the most effort to become competitive. I used to work next door to Leeds international pool and as I was getting into work at 8am, there were kids coming out who had been training for 2 hours already!
Unlike football, where you can have a greasy fry up the morning after a Saturday night on the beer and still play like a hero in a Sunday League game, swimming needs absolute discipline and commitment, and its bloody hard work.
Best wishes to her, when kids work that hard towards something and have such dedication, it can only reap great rewards in their futures in whatever they end up doing.
Hope life is treating you kindly back in the UK mate :-)
Sure is :D
Perfect time for sportstalksocial to arrive as I've only just moved back and started seeing her again, and I have a feeling i'll be at a fair few of these events with any luck.
The 6 am training though, not sure about that although at present I could make it there - cheers for the idea :)
Thanks very much dude!
