The new Barclays Premier League season is almost upon us. Teams are shuffling quickly to try and get their teams set to compete in their respective steads for different positions in England's most prestigious league.
Last season's winners, Manchester City have gone on and strengthened their midfield, buying Rodri from Atletico Madrid for a fee in the region of £62 million. He comes in as a long term replacement for the ageing Fernandinho in defensive midfield.
Last year's runners up Liverpool have been quite quiet though, only purchasing two very young talents, in Mike Van der Berg and Harvey Wilson, both coming in for next to nothing fees.
The club that has been the most busy though has been last year's championship playoff winners, Aston Villa, who have made about 10 signings, splashing out over a £150 million on new signings such as Tyrone Mings, the egyptian Trezeguet, and Wesley.
Manchester United have had another summer filled with a lot of disappointments, as fans have voiced loudly their unrest with their Glazer owners and Chief Executive Ed Woodward. United have been linked with a lot of blockbuster names but have fallen short of signing most of them, with their only incomings being youngsters in Daniel James and Aaron Wan Bissaka.
All in all, it promises to be another intriguing Barclays Premier League Season, and the anticipation is quite high.
The action kicks off next week Friday, being the 9th of August, with Liverpool taking on Norwich at Anfield.
