The Philippine judo team is poised to bring home four gold medals as they enter the 30th Southeast Asia Games.
According to Philippine Judo Federation President Dave Carter, there is a high chance that the country is in good condition under Kiyomi Watanabe's leadership.
The 23-year-old Watanabe has a huge potential after being ranked 23 in the world rankings after capturing the women's 63 kg class in Singapore last month.
Watanabe, a Japanese-Filipino judoka born in Cebu is a three-time gold medalist at the SEA Games.
At the 2018 Asian Games, Pinay won a silver medal.
Just in case of the SEA Games in the Philippines he will be able to regain the gold medal this will be his fourth in a row.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Judo Federation is still calling for support for athletes.
