Do you know the best goalkeeper of all time?

I remembered some great goalkeepers in the past and I decided to write about them. I will talk about those in the far past and some far recent ones would make the list as well. Many goalkeepers have come and go. More are being discovered. Many past goalkeepers made history.

I wrote about the qualities of a good goalkeeper just recently. All these qualities are present in one Goalkeeper I would love to talk about in this article. I planned to write a list but I will separate this from the rest. Who is Yashin?

Lev Yashin: Many of us didn’t see the performance of this legend, but we heard about him and watched a little of his performances on the internet. He is seen as the greatest goalkeeper of all time. He only played for Dynamo Moscow from 1950 to 1970, without playing for any other club. He appeared for the soviet union 75 times and won the 1960 European championship and the 1956 Olympics game.

He collected 5 league titles and 3 domestic cups for his club. Yashin nicknamed the black spider is known for his excellent saves and sharp reflexes. He was once employed as an Ice hockey goalkeeper and he is the only goalkeeper to ever win the Ballon d’Or. In the history of football, no keeper has performed like him.

Till today, every other keeper that emerges as the best stays behind the history of Yashin.
I will write about the keepers that are also outstanding. We have many of them. I will come up with some lists maybe in my next blog.
