RE: Xtreme Sports in Steemit .-. MMA Incredibly KO catches opponent off guard

in #sports7 years ago (edited)

I was a 20 something when MMA first came on the scene and I loved the early years when no one knew what was the best styles. I'm of the pre MMA generation when it came to martial arts training. I studied Kung fu as a teen. I really like where MMA as a sport has gone. So much better then traditional martial arts.

I am in my forties, I got into kickboxing to get fit and learn something new....
I DID LOVE IT !!
But gym closed down and somehow I got myself in MMA... I couldn't sit down to the toilet for three days !!! So much pain in so many places... They really trained to competition thought; I was there for the fun so I felt I had to step to one side.

I bet. I have a friend in his 30's and he feels like the old man of the gym where he trains at. He just had his first amateur fight last week. The fighter he was scheduled to fight got pulled for some reason and the replacement fighter was not at his level and my buddy took him down in 25 seconds. He was bummed as he trained hard and wanted a closer match to test himself against.

Here is his fight. Warren (my friend) is wearing the white gloves.
