European super league 'getting closer' as plans emerge

I’d love it to happen.

I live around London I’m West Ham, I know fans from all over the country.

While I’m telling people we are going to be playing Crystal Palace, we are going to meet up in the morning, jump on the train, make some noise, drink, have a laugh, jump back on the train, continue drinking and get home in the same day for a London Derby....

Just how jealous or out of the loop that fan will feel as he’s going to be sat at home waiting for Arsenal to kick off against a foreign club he’s not attending.

It’s not the same thing.

Even a home game, where’s the bragging rights. There’s less passion.

They’re excluding the culture of what makes the game, and that lies with the fans and identity.

The game has been built from this for decades. Working class fans, working class players, local players, bragging rights etc.

What it’s become for many top clubs is marketing marketing marketing.

I stopped watching the champions league about 5 years ago, I’ve slowly cut down on going to matches in the PL, and this is the first year I haven’t had a ST at West Ham in 23 years.

What football has become is something that I can’t feel any passion for anymore.

It’s not what gave me the desire to go back at the start anymore. It’s a globalised and sanitised hype show.

My only hope is that the European Super League is formed.

The Premier League collapses as a result.

A new league is formed with the remainder of the clubs left.

Salary caps are introduced to ensure healthy competition and prevents Man City or Chelsea buying the fucking title .

Domestic player squad registration is upped to ensure there’s more local players on the pitch, which in turn helps the national team manager with depth .

Cut the loans so that Reserves and Youth academies aren’t a means to create a monopoly of talent and send 25 players away.

Ensure they are either given a chance in and around the first team or simply go elsewhere and be an asset at a smaller club and work your way back up.

It’s a dream the super league is formed and English football goes back to its roots .

Give me local derbies, same day travel, bragging rights over friends, local players living the dream in your clubs jersey, and watching English players any day over the advertising marketing porn the CL or any super league would offer me as a fan, every day of the week.
