Yamaha Movistar team rider, Maverick Vinales, wants Valentino Rossi to renew his contract with Yamaha. This Spanish rider admits, The Doctor, nickname Rossi, gives a huge impact.
Vinales is Rossi's new tandem in 2017 MotoGP after deciding to quit the Suzstar Ecstar team. In his debut season with the team bearing this tuning fork, Vinales won three races, though later underwent an inconsistency.
The Spaniard claimed to want to stay with Rossi because it is considered to have a big dampat for Yamaha Movistar team.
"Yes, in the end he (Valentino Rossi) is a rider who has won the world title, and it is important for him to be on track," Vinales said.
Rossi's contract at Yamaha will expire at the end of 2018 and so far there has been no talk of his future. The nine-time world champion will take a new decision after the start of the 2018 MotoGP series.
He is at an extraordinary level and always helps to improve, so he has a big impact and will be important if he continues for a long time, "Vinales said.
In the next season, Rossi's age will step on 39 years. Although his rivals are currently much younger than him, Rossi is still able to compete with them.
