Fight fans around the world will tune their attention toward boxing on August 26th, to watch one of the most entertaining match ups in fight history.
Super Fight Crossover!
Two champions are about to compete in a $1 Billion dollar showdown, to prove who's the greatest fighter, once and for all.
Confirmed through social media, former world boxing champ, Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr, will be fighting reigning lightweight and featherweight UFC Champion, Conor "The Notorious" McGregor.
Hosted at the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, at 154lbs, and with 10 ounce gloves, both champions will be competing for what seems to be bragging rights as the biggest fighting superstar in the world.
With each fighter guaranteed a purse of over $100 million on the night, Mayweather's promotional company will be working around the clock to ensure this is the most watched bout in fight history. Although the exact split of the profits has been kept confidential, it's hard to imagine there being a loser.
Each man boasts an impressive record, holding reputable titles in their respective fighting styles. Mayweather holds an undefeated professional boxing record of 39 wins to 0 losses. McGregor holds a professional mixed martial arts record of 21 wins to 3 losses.
This unconventional crossover between fight sports sets a new precedent for the fight business, already estimated to gross over $1 billion in revenue, as it's never been done before.
Whether you're a boxing fan or a mixed martial arts fan, there's no doubt that this bout will be the "tale of the tape".
Fight Prediction: Given that McGregor has an age and reach advantage, and the fact that Mayweather struggles with southpaws, I believe Conor McGregor will win this fight by knockout in the first or second round. If not, I believe Mayweather will tire McGregor out by the fifth round, and win by points.
Who do you think will win? Leave your predictions in the comment section below.
Conor "The Notorious" McGregor
Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr.
Born in New Zealand and now residing in Australia, I write about many different subjects. I like to philosophize about each subject. I'm addicted to knowledge & growing. I try to be original & true in everything I do.
I live in vegas and I was already looking for tickets... I know I'm not going for sure, prices are nuts bro. Anytime you roll to vegas, I got you man. My fam owns a UFC gym here for about 5 years :)
Yeah I will be watching it here in Australia, probably at the pub with friends, Aussie style 😎
Thanks for the gym offer though brother, I will definitely hit you up when I'm next in Las Vegas!
hey bro great article
Also read my article on why McGregor will WIN this fight >> https://steemit.com/life/@protrado/vote-conor-mcgregor-vs-floyd-mayweather-who-will-win
Will do, absolutely love this subject right now :D
thanks appreciated
who's your pick?
Conor McGregor, though he's going to be out of his natural habitat. I really want him to win though, to prove once and for all how mundane boxing is in comparison to MMA (my personal opinion)
@senseiteekay not only boxing is booring all floyd fights too. Also to prove MMA athletes are the toughest fighters in the world
Luckily you have PPV in Australia for this I fight. If we had PPV most certainly I would have bought for Conor
Boss... :)
My son is a HUGE fan of Conor McGregor! I cannot wait to write him about it. He's in bootcamp so he has no internet or news channel access. :) Sadly, he will most likely miss the fight as he's got more training to do on fight night.
If he's lucky, his mum might record the fight for him 😉
I would definitely have to get creative since I don't have TV anymore. LOL Thankfully we have friends who may do this mum a big favor. :D
Mayweather will either showboat or knock him out in seconds, it has been proven McGregor is no good at taking punches and cannot box. A lot of work to be done if he is to last more than a round.
After watching Mayweather's fight against Pacquiao, I think Mayweather will try play his defensive game again, winning on points. McGregor will come with the south paw hooks to get around Mayweathers tight defense, landing body shots or left uppercuts. I truly believe McGregor has got this, but like you said, he can't take hits, so it will come down to what game plan the money team uses.
Edit: McGregor probably wont be able to endure past the fifth round, so he has to go for a quick knockout.
Awesome! I'm glad this fight is happening. And wow! 100 Million to each fighter. That is some bread!
it would be a great fight after all! it is worth the wait i hope their match will last at 12th round! loved to watch it live in arena! anybody knows where the match will be held? and how much do you think it is? thanks in advance!
I mentioned in the post that the fight will be held at the T Mobiler Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I'd love to watch it live too!
i see! thanks for the info dude! see you there ,
do you know how much it is???
I think tickets are selling upwards of $2000 USD. They're selling out fast. You can view ticket sales here: http://www.viagogo.com/au/Sports-Tickets/Boxing/Floyd-Mayweather-Tickets/E-2249943
thanks for the info dude! but i think its too quiet expensive!
I'm still pissed about that lame dance mayweather and pacquio performed last time. I will never be dupped again by professional boxing champs. They both win if theyramp up the amount of people tuning in and come to an agreement where non of them get hurt and still take home a big purse only ones who lose are the people paying for that crap.
I feel you. I was extremely disappointed during that boxing match. I feel that this will be different though, because McGregor always has to prove a point. That guy has showmanship, and there's no way he'll tarnish his reputation for an easy purse. His reputation is what makes fights like this possible.
I'll keep my eye on it. Feel it out. Mayweather's not going to filtch me for another dime though. Thanks for the post man.
$2,000 dollar ticket is quiet expensive if the match is going to be like Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight.
I agree, though I doubt this will be as boring as that fight was.
after all there all gonna going to be rich,as people keep buying on their tickets for possible boring fight if it is gonna be the same as before. i hope it would not be like ,
