NBA Fantasy Picks 12/21

in #sports7 years ago

Nice size 5 game Thursday slate in the NBA. Charles and Kenny always make Thursday nights enjoyable, with their NBA commentary.

NBA works a bit differently than the other sports due to the fact it can very late news based. Be sure to check back in the comments close to gametime for any late changes.

Nikola Mirotic PF 7200. The Bulls and Cavs present some of the worse defense teams in the NBA. These clubs simply don't play defense. The way you want to attack the Cavs is with 3 point shooters. Mirotic is the leader of this Bulls club. He is averaging 7 3 point attempts a game. If the the Bulls want to content with the Cavs tonight Mirotic must display the 3 ball.

Kyle Korver SG 3700. I am expecting this game to be compedative tonight. Lebron James is simply too much for my liking. Wade is in a good spot, but he plays as much minutes as Korver and Korver is almost half the price. The downside to Korver is he won't play in a blowout, but neither will Wade. I will take the 20 fantasy points with Korver and move on.
Ben Simmons PF 9800. Normally I would stand clear of playing players against the Raptors, but today Vegas is projecting this game to be a close contest eventhough several skill players are out for the 76ers. With all the injuries the 76ers are simple to peg today, it's Simmons and more Simmons. He doesn't have the best matchup on paper, but the Raptor's are on a back to back and from the Vegas line something is telling me they may have been out all night at the night clubs. Fire up Simmons with confiedence.
Jarrett Jack PG 4900. The ageless wonder Jarrett Jack. Disregard the minutes last game, the Knucks got blown out. If you are buying into the Knicks winning games Jack must be involved. He is the only veteran on the team that can play a lick of basketball. He is too cheap tonight and if you are going to attack the Celtics you do it at the point guard position.
TJ Warren SF 7800. The Suns are down there with Bulls and the Cavs playing defense. Warren is shooting upwards of 24 times a game. With Booker out this team cannot score enough without Warren chucking up this many shots a game. The Suns are only a 2 point underdog in this game. Warren at this price is far and above my favorite play of the day.

Joe Ingles SF 5600. Utah is on a back to back and their entire team is fluddered with old players. That is the bad news, the good news is they are very thin and easy to target in spots they are projected to be compedative. Ingles is playing north of 32 minutes a game and if you are gonna attack the Spurs it is with the shooting forward. Leonard is a premier defender, but I am not convinced he is 100%. I have no issues playing Ingles at the current price tag.
