It is difficult to imagine also other fans, players and journalists, but if Catalonia would break away from Spain, the sports clubs from that region would not be able to play in the local leagues according to the law in force.
There are also opinions that, since Catalonia is larger than Albania, Macedonia, Slovenia and Montenegro, it may have its own games. Only then will the level of local football be similar to the level of Hungary, Bulgaria and Norway, and Barca will lose its status and become the only dominant club in the championship. At the same time top players will go to other leagues, and Real Madrid will completely dominate Spanish football.
