The Sun is shining down from a cloudless blue sky and I recline on the lounger with barely a care in the world. I add the word barely because, of course, I do have cares in the world and today they revolve around, as they do most days tbh, this Trixie Challenge.
When I began the original Trixie Challenge, way back in February, way back before my enforced two months in London, I had high hopes and £100. That £100 dwindled to £47 and I remember saying on this blog that I had discovered the slowest method ever to halve my money. Now, two months on it appears that I was right about that if nothing else.
After twenty-one days of Luck vs Judgement I have spent £42 and returned just over £17. Is it possible that I can end up with the same exact results again? Could I really have stumbled across the greatest and most reliable ‘money-halving-system’ on the planet? I have very few claims to fame so this, at least, would be something to hold on to.
Of course I would much rather all three of my carefully selected ponies rolled in today, sending me rocketing into profit, proving once and for all that I am king of the Trixie World, but if not I’ll always have the money halving thing, right?
Here’s a pessimistic and hat-hungry @happyaslarry on today’s lucky picks:
”Never was an outcome more likely to result in eating hats if all these three win. These are chosen for names and locations related to weddings, with the obvious blessings of course what every wedding requires. It would be exactly what it says on the tin. Luck. Wish me lots.”
