Roy Halladay past away today at the age of 40 years old. I am truly saddened and shocked to hear this news.
Roy Halladay or "Doc" was one of the greatest pitchers of this era. The former Cy Young award winner had moments where he looked unhittable. He was also a work horse. During his prime it seemed he pitched into the 8th or 9th inning every single game.
From 2006-2011 he was arguably the best pitcher in the game. During that stretch he complied a 109-49 w/l record, 48 complete games, and a 2.89 era. He will likely be a Hall of Famer.
My thoughts go out to his family! May he rest in peace.
