As a Minnesotan, I’ve always had a few different favorite athletes, ranging from Kevin Garnett to Adrian Peterson to Kevin love, or other Minnesota athletes. While the Minnesota teams, the Timberwolves, Vikings, Wild, and Twins, are favorite teams of their respective sports, I like other teams. One of those teams includes the infamous and often hated New England Patriots.
I remember when I was super young, 6 years old I believe, when the Patriots were playing the Oakland Raiders in the 2001 playoffs. I vividly remember the notorious play where Tom Brady nearly lost the ball to Charles Woodson on a fumble, but was later ruled an incomplete pass. I remember that game, I remember Tom Brady, in his second season, practically win the game for the Patriots.
In that game and every game since, I could see how much of a competitor Tom Brady is, but the hazy part was his character off of the field. As one of the most hated (and loved) teams and individual players, Tom Brady and the Patriots may seem cocky, obnoxious, or whatever else people may say about them, but this article below gives a good look into some of the experiences of Brady’s teammates with him. They really shed light onto his true character and how he is truly a great person, just an incredible competitor on the field.
I really suggest reading this, especially if you want to find out how good of a beer chugger Tom Brady is. You will gain some insight in the life of the greatest quarterback in the world, who has been my favorite athlete for many, many years.
Happy 40th Birthday Tom Brady!
