Whats up fight fans?

Are Y'all ready for a cool UFC event this weekend? Hope you are. Today I'll talk about the main event of the evening, Romero VS Rockhold. Of course, how can we forget Mark Hunt in the co-main event VS Curtis Blaydes but will leave that for tomorrow.

INTERIM MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Such a popular thing these days, we saw lots of interim bouts and I wonder what's even the purpose of it, especially in this one. The current champ Robert Whittaker is on the sidelines due to an injury and had to pull out of fighting Rockhold but if we rewind it back a bit, Romero fought Whittaker for an interim title as well. We all know GSP beat Bisping who won the title from Rockhold. GSP goes and vacates the belt. Now Whittaker stands as a true champion of the middleweight division. Crazy sport, right?

The Matchup - Main Event

YOEL "SOLDIER OF GOD" ROMERO

077_Chris_Weidman_vs_Yoel_Romero.0.0.jpg

Is a Cuban mixed martial artist, a former amateur wrestling World Champion, and an Olympic silver medalist in freestyle wrestling at the 2000 Summer Olympics. This guy looks scary, no doubt. An explosive athlete with a lot of power in his hands and I'm sure a good punch from Yoel would put any middleweight out. Well, most of them were out...

Lots of big names on this list.

10 KO/TKO (83%)

Knees for dinner - last victim: Chris Weidman

We did saw stuff like sitting on a stool too long, Yoel gets tired faster. All that muscle needs fuel. Freak athlete never the less, can KO anyone at anytime.

HIGHLIGHTS

Let me know what Y'all think!

LUKE ROCKHOLD

Is an American fighter and a former Strikeforce middleweight champion as well as UFCs. A great grappler but in my opinion 2nd when it comes to explosive flexibility. I do think he's stronger than Yoel and walks around probably at light heavyweight. This will play a factor. Luke also has a solid standup game, some of you know he switch camps and is under supervision of mastermind Henri Hooft.

6 KO/TKO (38%)

8 SUBMISSIONS (50%)

I hope he doesn't get cocky in there, we saw Luke a few times not being careful and it cost him big time. Training full time at AKA, sparring with likes of Daniel Cormier, Cain Velasquez, and others made him a champion before, can he repeat it? Will we see an upgraded Luke Rockhold?

Who is your pick?

I gotta go with Luke, I feel if he comes in there with the right mindset and well prepared for the worst, he can dodge it. Or else, it's nighty night. I'm interested how will he do on the ground, gonna be a fun one!

STEEMBLESS!

This will be a awesome fight can't wait for it they are both great fighters and I think it's 50/50 for the win.
I watched the UFC 221 Pre-Fight Press Conference and Luke was looking very focused but with Yoel you never know that dude has crazy power.

Tyson Pedro is as well on the card I really like that guy he is a cool dude and has a great future in the UFC he just needs to develop a bit more and has to get more fight experience but I am sure he can be the champ one day.

I love your UFC posts they are made in a very cool and entertaining way heads up bro :)))
