Klopp helped Dortmund push up Dembele price

Jurgen Klopp's refusal to sell Philippe Coutinho over the summer to Barcelona directly helped former club Dortmund with their own sale, according to Raphael Honigstein on the Totally Football Show.

The Liverpool boss reportedly informed Dortmund there was no way he would sell Coutinho, in turn aiding the Germans in their negotiations over Ousmane Dembele.

Liverpool and Marseille to battle over Strootman?

Liverpool and Marseille are both weighing up the possibility of signing Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman, according to Leggo.

The midfielder is set to depart the Italian capital this month and is expected to command a fee of €35 million - €10m short of his release clause.

Roma need to sell to meet Financial Fair Play (FFP) obligations.

Coutinho's £142 million transfer to Barcelona has left the Reds short in midfield and Jurgen Klopp's side are looking at paying extra for the Guinean in order to bring forward his switch to Anfield.

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Kevin Trapp is happy to stay at the French giants for now as he continues to attract interest from the Premier League.

The Germany international has been linked with Liverpool and Newcastle, but he is prepared to fight for minutes at Parc des Princes.

He told reporters: "For now, I want to stay. I am in Paris, even though I do not have enough playing time."
