in #sports7 years ago (edited)

Happy Sunday steemians, I have the been very busy offline, but not so busy not to let you all share in my boy's Schools Interhouse Sports event yesterday.

Though I was not there, I was told all that happened at the events. The school which has four branches in Lagos combined all the campuses together in various houses to compete in sports, such as Track and fields events like

100, 200, 400, and 800, metere boys and girl
Relay racing
Marching
Long jump
Tripple jump
High jump
Football and more

To the amazement of everyone Chigozie won 5 gold medals all by himself. What a skill and talent. Though I am not suprised because sports runs in the family.

The most exciting part was that he has been signed up for coaching at the National Stadium in Surulere by some Government officials scouting for new talents.

Chigozie won gold medals in

100 metere senior boys category
400 metere
4×100 relay
High jump
Long jump

Unfortunately, they were not given medals for the 4×100 relay.

The total gold medals won by his house (Yellow House) was 10 putting them in overall first position in the competition with him wining half of the total gold medals.

This has brought him good fortunes, he is also a goal keeper in Nollywood football club in Surulere. The stars are his for the taking.

Youths should be encouraged to be engaged in sports to keep their minds off social vices and to earn them a career in future.

I am super proud of Chigozie for bringing home the golds. I pray he gets a good deal (endorsement) for his hard work.

Thank you for visiting my blog.
