Malik Sealy was Born on this day in 1970, in the Bronx New York.
The 6ft.8in.(203cm) 190lbs.(86kg) Shooting Guard/Small Forward was a
graduate of St. John's University.
He was a 1st Round pick of the Indiana Pacers in 1992. He also played
for the Clippers, the Pistons and at the end of his nine year NBA Career
for the Minnesota Timberwolves in 1999-2000.
Unfortunately his Career was cut short by a drunk driver, who drove on
the wrong side of the street and crashed into Malik's SUV. Malik was
coming back from a birthday celebration of his teammate and best
friend Kevin Garnett.
He would have been 48 today.
Sealy is buried at Ferncliff Cemetary in Hartsdale, N.Y. alongside his
idol, Malcom X, for whom he received his Name Malik.
Malcom X's real Name is Malik Shabazz, for whom Sealy's father had
been a Bodyguard.
