Boston Celtics vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Game 5

in #sports7 years ago (edited)

I'm starting this at 8pm... the game is in 30 mins. I just wanted to get it posted, trusted and verified ON THE BLOCKCHAIN (claps) that I think the Celtics are going to win. Can't help but wonder why there is a game five after Isaiah Thomas went down in game 2, one in which Cleveland won handily in Boston. But the Celtics are a different team with Thomas out. It's truly the antithesis to Cleveland. With Thomas (their clear number one scorer) out indefinitely, the Celtics DO NOT have a go to player. They have a bunch of role players, who I imagine head coach Brad Stevens asked to continue their roles, just be a little more aggressive on offense. Cleveland, on the contrary, have the greatest basketball player alive, and debatably ever. They have one of the top point guards in the league that could be on pace to be a hall of famer. They have Kevin Love, the former Minnesota Timberwolves prize possession, who is lighting it up in the playoffs and is likely also on his way to the hall of fame. They have Kyle Korver who has been one of the deadliest three point shooters this league has seen he was drafted in 2003. And lastly a serviceable, above average rebounder in Tristan Thompson who does EXACTLY what he's supposed to do to help the team win. The Celtics have zero hall of famers (by the current looks of it) and could easily go out there and get routed. But they are playing inspired. They are the David and Cleveland is the Goliath. But the Celtics stole a game in Cleveland and almost pulled it out in the second game at Cleveland after being up double digits at halftime. The Celtics, now back in front of their home crowd for game five, need former Celtics champion Kevin Garnett to be in the locker room, motivating as he does, screaming...

Your fanboying is on the record forever <3 No shame in pulling for your boys, no shame in any of this, can't help the Cavs beating you when they pull this kind of 3 point performance. This Cavs team really permanently changed when they figured out how to RELIABLY do it early on in the playoffs last year.
